Advocacy
- Promoting and protecting the sanctity of human life as a Gift from God.
- Promoting and supporting each indivdiual within our community of teens as well as the disadvantaged, the sick, the elderly, the unborn, and the poor.
- Empowering our young people by giving them a voice and calling them to responsiblity and accountablity around the issues that affect them and their future.
Justice & Service
- Our faith calls us to work for justice and to serve those in need
- The ministry of Justice & Service empowers young people to work for justice by concrete efforts that address the causes of human suffering; and infuses the concepts of justice, peace, & human dignity into all areas of Youth Ministry efforts.
Examples of Justice, Service, and Advocacy programs would be the 30-Hour Famine, Harvest Sunday Food Drive, & Quartley inside church clean up
The 30-Hour famine was a 30 hour service projects where the youth of our parish along with youth from neighboring communities abstaine from eating in order to raise awareness of children starving in America. Furthermore our youth raised over $500.00 to feed the poor. In addition to fasting for 30 hours the youth worked at service sites during this period. Just to name a few...they helped at crisis centers, soup kitchens, visited shut-ins & nursing homes.
