What is Youth Ministry?

Youth Ministry is a WHOLE PARISH formed of our love and commitment to youth, then recognizing the youth need our commitment and care.  

The youth have gifts and talents to share with their peers, adults, and this greater parish community.  Youth Ministry is the response of a Christian community to the needs of our young people and the empowerment we give to help them meet their needs and share their gifts with our community. 

Pope John Paul II in 1995 said...

"What is needed is a church for young people, which will know how to speak to their heart, and enkindle, comfort, and inspire enthusiasm with the joy of the Gospel.  A church which will know how to invite and wecome youth who seek a purpose for which to commit their whole existence, a church which does not fear asking from young people the effort of a noble and authentic adventure."
